Authorship Criteria

Jurnal Analis Kesehatan determines authorship based on genuine scholarly contributions, responsibility for the article, and research integrity.

An individual may be listed as an author only if they meet all of the following criteria:

  • They have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, or to data collection, analysis, or interpretation.
  • They have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
  • They have approved the final version for publication.
  • They agree to be accountable for their own contributions and to help ensure that any questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of any part of the article are appropriately investigated and resolved.
  • All authors must meet these authorship criteria. Contributions that do not qualify for authorship may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, with the consent of the individuals named.

2.1. Authors’ responsibilities

  • Authors must provide accurate information about their identities, affiliations, and contributions.
  • All authors must agree on the author order before manuscript submission.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating communication with the editor and ensuring that all authors have approved the submission.
  • All authors are responsible for the manuscript's originality, data accuracy, ethical compliance, and disclosure of conflicts of interest.
  • Academic titles, positions, funding, or institutional status do not automatically confer authorship.

2.2. Changes to authorship

Any change to the author order, addition of an author, or removal of an author after submission must be supported by a written explanation and the consent of all affected authors. The editor may suspend the editorial process until the authorship issue has been resolved.

2.3. Ghost, guest, and unauthorized authorship

Listing individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria, omitting contributors who qualify for authorship, or listing an individual without their consent is not permitted.

This policy follows the COPE principle that authorship must be based on contribution and accountability, rather than position or professional relationship.
