Abstract: Effect of non-pharmacological Therapy on pain Responses of Children With Infusion Procedure.Infusion procedure is an act that causes pain to the pediatric patients so that can lead to fear , anxiety and decreased cooperation in performing the procedure ( Irzan , 2007) . The purpose of research is to determine the effect of non- pharmacological therapies on pain response in pediatric patients with infusion procedures in HM . Ryacudu hospitals . This study used a quasi- experimental design to determine the effect of non-pharmacological therapies such as assist the parents, distraction and relaxation tehnique. Population studies in which patients were treated and gets the infusion procedure . The sample size in the cases group are 18 and 23 people in the control group . Data collection tool used is the child of pain assessment scale : Faces Pain Rating Scale Wong & Baker (2000 in Wong et al , 2009) . Data Analysed with univariat dan bivariat (Chi – square) . The results of the study were mostly mild pain in cases group ( 21.95 % ), severe pain in control group      ( 34.15 % ) and non- pharmacologic therapy significantly influence pain responses in pediatric patients with infusion procedure ( p = 0.031 ) . Suggestions research nurses implement nonpharmacologic therapy in SOP infusion in pediatric patients , parents facilitate mentoring and providing the necessary infrastructure for the treatment of atraumatic care.
