Abstract : Analysis of the Determinant Factors Related to the Prevalence of Sexual Infectious Infection Disease of the Prostitutes in Kendari, Bau-Bau and Muna year 2012 Town. Sexual infectious infection disease is a public health problem in indonesia and world wide because its effect is very broad viewed from health,politic,and socioeconomic. Failure in diagnosis and therapy in the early stage resulting in serious complications, for example, invertility, neonatal infection, and even death. The aim of the study was to analyze the factors relatedto the prevalenceof sexual infectious infection disease of the prostitutes in Kendari, Bau-Bau and Muna town. The study was a cross sectional study with the number of samples was 222 prostitutes. The variables studied were the use of condoms, knowledge of sexual infectious infection disease and AIDS, sexual intercouese method, frequency of intercourse, length of profession as prostitutes, and age.The results of the study indicate that there are four factors which have a close correlation with the prevalence of the sexual disease: age of the respondent < 29 years (p=0,001 < 0,05), respondents knowledge (p=0,001 < 0,05), sexual intercourse method (p=0,002 < 0,05), and frequency of sexual intercourse (p=0,016). It is recommended that the regional goverment improve the coordination with interrelated sectors, fund provision, intensive counseling about sexual infection disease and AIDS, increase health resources so that this disease will not be a problem for the public health.

Abstrak : Analisis Hubungan Determinan Kejadian Penyakit Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) Pada Wanita Penjaja Seksual (WPS). Penyakit infeksi menular seksual merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia bahkan di seluruh dunia, karena dampaknya sangat luas baik ditinjau dari segi kesehatan, politik, maupun sosial ekonomi. Kegagalan dalam diagonasis maupun terapi pada tahap dini mengakibatkan timbulnya komplikasi yang cukup serius, misalnya infertilitas, kematian janin, infeksineonatus, bahkan sampai menyebabkan kematian. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian IMS pada WPS diwilayah Kota Kendari, Kota Bau-Bau dan Kab. Muna. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi potong lintang (cross sectional study), dengan sampel responden sebanyak 222 orang wanita penjaja seksual. Variabel yang diteliti adalah kegunaan kondom, pengetahuan tentang IMS dan AIDS, cara hubungan seksual, frekuensi hubungan, lama berprofesi, dan umur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat angka 4 (empat) faktor yang sangat erat hubungannya dengan terjadinya penyakit infeksi menular seksual (IMS) yaitu faktor umur responden < 29 tahun (nilai P = 0,001<0,05), kurangnya pengetahuan bagi responden (nilai P=0,001<0,05) cara hubungan seksual (nilai P =0,002 <0,05) dan frekuensi hubungan seksual (nilai P=0,016). Untuk itu disarankan agar Pemda Kota Kendari, Kota Bau-Bau dan Kab. Muna meningkatkan koordinasi dengan lintas sektor terkait, menyediakan dana, meningkatkan penyuluhan, khususnya tentang penyakit IMS dan AIDS, meningkatkan sumber daya bidang kesehatan, sehingga penyakit IMS dan AIDS tidak menjadi masalah bagi kesehatan masyarakat.
