Abstract

Background: The Covid-19 pandemic is the most important problem currently faced by all health organizations and governments in the world. Furthermore, it seriously affects the mental state of individuals in various circles of society, including health students, specifically in midwifery. The role of midwifery students experiencing clinical practice during a pandemic increases their vulnerability to anxiety and stress. Therefore, this descriptive study aims to determine the anxiety level of midwifery students in carrying out clinical practice during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study was conducted to determine the anxiety level of midwifery students in carrying out clinical practice during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: Total sampling was performed using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), a measuring instrument presented as an electronic questionnaire through a google form. Results: The results showed a relationship between the anxiety levels of midwifery students carrying out clinical practice at health service facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic (p-value 0.01).Conclusion: The Diploma-3 Midwifery students had anxiety in experiencing clinical practice during the Covid-19 pandemic because they are meant to interact directly with patients having various signs and symptoms.

Latar Belakang: Pandemi Covid-19 dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan mental yang serius di berbagai kalangan masyarakat termasuk mahasiswa kesehatan khususnya kebidanan. Mahasiswa kebidanan berperan penting dalam menjalani praktik klinik saat terjadi pandemi, akan tetapi mereka lebih rentan terhadap kecemasan dan stres. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan mahasiswa kebidanan dalam melaksanakan praktik klinik pada saat pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Cross Sectional Study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kebidanan yang menjalankan praktik klinik pada saat pandemi Covid 19. Metode: Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan total sampling dengan menggunakan alat ukur kecemasan Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) yang disajikan dalam bentuk kuesioner elektronik melalui formulir google. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kecemasan mahasiswa kebidanan dalam praktik klinik di pelayanan kesehatan selama masa pandemi Covid-19 (p value 0,01). Simpulan: Kecemasan Mahasiswa Kebidanan dalam praktik klinik di Pelayanan Kesehatan selama masa Pandemi Covid-19 karena mahasiswa berinteraksi langsung dengan pasien yang memilik beragam tanda dan gejala.
