Media Intervensi “Piring Makanku” Meningkatkan Porsi Makan dan Asupan Gizi Ibu Hamil

Abstract

Background: The slogan "Isi Piringku†needs to be visualized on practical media such as a dinner plate so that it can be applied in everyday life. Purpose: To determine the effect of using "Piring Makanku†on meal portions and nutritional intake of pregnant women. Methods: The design of this research is quasi-experimental. The research subjects were 60 pregnant women who were selected purposively. Research subjects were allocated to the treatment group and control group with a ratio of 1 : 1. The intervention was carried out for 2 weeks and tests were carried out at the beginning and end of the intervention. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. Result: After using “Piring Makankuâ€, the meal portion of pregnant women increases from an average of 2-3 to 4-5 types of food groups. Energy intake of pregnant women increased from an average of 1430 kcal to 1846 kcal and protein intake from an average of 42.6 gr to 47.9 gr. Conclusion: The use of the media "Piring Makanku" is effective in increasing the portion of food and nutritional intake of pregnant women. "Piring Makanku" can be used as an alternative as a promotional and applicable media to improve the nutrition of pregnant women.

Abstrak. Latar belakang: Slogan “Isi Piringku†perlu divisualisasikan pada media praktis seperti piring makan agar dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan “Piring Makanku†terhadap porsi makan dan asupan gizi ibu hamil. Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah kuasi-eksperimental. Subjek penelitian adalah ibu hamil sebanyak 60 orang yang dipilih secara purposif. Subjek penelitian dialokasikan kedalam kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol dengan rasio 1 : 1. Intervensi dilakukan selama 2 minggu dan dilakukan tes pada awal dan akhir intervensi. Data dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t–test dan indepenent sample t-test. Hasil: Setelah menggunakan “Piring Makanku†porsi makan ibu hamil meningkat dari rata-rata 2-3 menjadi 4-5 jenis golongan bahan makanan. Asupan energi ibu hamil meningkat dari rata-rata 1430 kkal menjadi 1846 kkal dan asupan protein dari rata-rata 42,6 gr menjadi 47,9 gr. Simpulan: Penggunaan media “Piring Makanku†efektif meningkatkan porsi makan dan asupan gizi ibu hamil. “Piring Makanku†dapat dijadikan alternatif sebagai media promosi dan aplikatif peningkatan gizi ibu hamil.
