Abstract

The incidence of dysmenorrhea according to WHO was 1,769,425 (90%) with dysmenorrhea 10-15%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dysmenorrhea on the level of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls in Al-Azhar 3 High School Bandar Lampung in 2017. This research type is true experimental with pretest-posttest with control group design. The sampling technique is done by stratum starting with purposive sampling, then determine the number of the sample with simple random sampling. The sample of the experimental group and the control group were 16 each taken from the population, ie the 2nd grade students of Al-Azhar 3 High School Bandar Lampung, amounting to 211 female students and those with dysmenorrhea. The study was conducted by giving intervention of disinfect gymnast in intervention group. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate with independent t-test and t-dependent Test. The results showed that the dysmenorrhea level before the exercise of dysmenorrhea in the experimental group was found to be 3.19 and the control group was 3.06, the dysmenorrhea level after the dysmenorrhea exercise in the experimental group was found to be an average value of 1.94 and control group of 3.38, and the results obtained p = 0.000 (p <0.05) means that there is a very significant change in the level of dysmenorrhea before and after gymnastics of dysmenorrhea in adolescents who received dysmenorrhea therapy. Women especially teenage girls who experience dysmenorrhea to do dysmenorrhea exercises because it can reduce the level of dysmenorrhea effectively.
